Laguna Beach Access
The nearest public beach access is just 0.2 miles from The Beach Break. The access point is located in the Laguna Beach area on the quieter west end of Panama City Beach. Unlike the sections lined with high-rise beachfront condos, this neighborhood has a more relaxed residential feel.
Beach Parking
Free public beach parking is available near the beach access for guests who prefer to drive. Compared with many busier areas of Panama City Beach, parking here is typically much less competitive because this stretch of coastline is not surrounded by large beachfront resorts.
If you're exploring the area by golf cart, parking is even easier thanks to its smaller size, making quick trips to and from the beach especially convenient.
What to Expect at This Beach Access
This beach access is simple and low-key. There are no cafés or bars directly on the sand, which is one reason this stretch feels quieter than the busier resort areas of PCB.
You are not isolated, though. There is pizza right across the road, and several casual restaurants, coffee spots, and grocery stores are only a short drive away. For a beach day, it still makes sense to bring water, snacks, and whatever you need with you, especially if you plan to stay for a few hours. The Beach Break includes chairs, towels, an umbrella, a cooler, and a beach wagon to make that easier.
Beach Safety
The Gulf can look calm even when swimming conditions are dangerous, so it's always worth checking the latest beach conditions before heading into the water.

The page shows the current beach flag, explains what each color means, and also lets you sign up for free text alerts by texting PCBFLAGS to 888777, so you'll know if conditions change while you're in town.
Many visitors also follow local Facebook groups for real-time updates about surf conditions, jellyfish, beach closures, storms, and other local information. They are often the quickest place to learn what's happening that day.

The Beach Throughout the Year
Panama City Beach is worth visiting in every season, but the beach feels different throughout the year.
- Spring often brings warm weather, comfortable beach days, and some of the clearest water of the year.
- Summer is the busiest season, with the warmest Gulf water, long beach days, and occasional afternoon thunderstorms. It is also part of sea turtle nesting season, so you may notice protected nests marked along the beach.
- Fall offers warm water, fewer crowds than summer, and some of the best beach weather of the year. Later in the season, you may also see signs of turtle hatchlings making their way toward the Gulf.
- Winter is quieter and more relaxed, making it a great time for long beach walks, shell collecting, bird watching, and spectacular Gulf sunsets.
